Someone else made the argument. We just checked it.

The notes on BioCatalyst are built on arguments other people posted in public. This page is about how we handle that.

The argument belongs to whoever made it

Every note starts with a thesis somebody else posted on Reddit or X. We name the account and link back to the original, so the credit and the traffic go to the person who did the thinking. We rewrite the argument in our own words rather than reposting it. The analysis we add on top is the easy part.

How a note gets checked

We use AI tools to dig up the sources and check the claims against them. A person runs that workflow, decides what gets published, and answers for what a note says. Anything we add rather than quote is marked as ours.

The notes are free

The theses were public before we got to them, and we did not write them. So the notes cost nothing to read. There is no paywall and nothing to subscribe to.

Corrections and takedowns

Email us if you want a note published, corrected or taken down. We reply as fast as we can. If a note was built on your post and you want it gone, we take it down without arguing.

BioCatalyst reports what public records say. It is not investment advice and does not recommend buying or selling anything. Check every source before you act on it.
